The 6th Annual National Haitian Student conference
entitled " Blood Sweat Tears, the Spirit
of Survival " took place at the University
of Massachusetts in Amherst, USA. During 3 days
(4-6 April, 2003) students from different universities,
high schools, and colleges gathered together to
discuss their concerns and issues about the Haitian
Diaspora , Music, Haiti, and common daily problems.
The conference served as a catalyst to educate
the new generation about the Haitian heritage,
and culture. Haitian Students proved once
again that they are the future leaders of the
coming generation.

journalist assassinated in April 2000 spoke
before a moving audience after the screening
of the film " the Agronomist" at the
6th national Haitian student conference. The
Agronomist is a film realized by Jonathan Demme
that depicts the life of Haiti most prominent
journalist " Jean Dominique". |
